The plate distributor, typically used with a 4-plate distribution
is also available in 2 or 6 plate configurations. It receives
plates in a single line arrangement from the M31
Numeral Coating Machine. After accepting the plates, it
divides them into a multiple width plate arrangement positioning
the plates perpendicular to the M31.
The Plate Distributor then feeds the plates to the flat belt
oven conveyor where they are carried through the oven to be
cured.

The M94’s entry guide mechanism is manually adjustable
to allow automatic distribution of standard 6 x 12 license
plates and 4 x 7 motorcycle plates. Using an optical sensing
unit, the distributor indicates the position of the plates
and triggers the automatic transfer mechanism responsible
for transfer from distributor to oven conveyor.
The Plate Distributor is integrated with the Numeral Coater
and the Flat Belt Oven, providing nominal design production
capacity of 2,000 plates per hour. However, in order to maintain
consistent quality, the Plate Distributor is driven by the
M31 Numeral Coater. This ensures that no timing problems will
occur when adjusting the speed of the M31.
Integral Machinery:
- M31 Numeral Coater
Used to coat characters and rim on both 6 X 12 and 4 X 7
plates (embossed border or depressed flange). Variable speed
coating rate up to 2,000 plates per hour.
- Flat Belt Curing Oven
For use in curing finished plates, the flat belt oven is
available in single or dual conveyor designs. Flat belt
design for 4 plate wide, modular design to accommodate required
curing cycles.
