M48 Safety Feeder
The M48 Safety Feeder is designed and patented for license plate production. The Safety Feeder incorporates an upper section for embossing alpha-numeric and other special characters by use of hinge-type dies. The bottom section of the feeder embosses either an embossed rim around the plate or a depressed flange (for graphic reflective sheeting type plates).
The M48 can emboss license plate pairs (sandwiched together) or singles at a very high rate of speed depending on the embossing press used. A high speed press such as our 58-Ton Embossing Press can produce around 2,000 paired plates or 1000 singles in an hour of production time in a sequential order. Even vanity plate production or non-sequential orders have higher production rates with the M48 because of the ease of changing handle-type dies.
